Aaron Alexander Olizarovius (1610–1659) was a Doctor of Law and Medicine and Professor of Law at Vilnius University. In Vilnius, he wrote his most important work in Latin, Three Books on the Political Society of People, which was dedicated to Deputy Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Kazimierz Lew Sapieha (1609–1656). The work was read all over Europe. It discusses questions of government, public and family life, law, pedagogy, political issues, emphasises the importance of craftsmanship, and criticises serfdom.
