The Christian Prussia by historian from Danzig Andreas Schottus (†1759) tells the story of the Christianization of Prussia. A large part of the book is dedicated to the work of Saint Adalbert of Prague (~956–997) and Saint Bruno of Querfurt (~974–1009), the first missionaries to work in Prussia and Lithuania. Both of the Saints are depicted in the frontispiece.
