The painting is made by an educated Lithuanian artist. It is pictorial in execution; the wavy lines and the knitting create an air of ease. Yet the roughly exaggerated facial features and the missing arms speak of primitivism of the plastic form. The picture in its entirety does not carry any sort of harmony and mirrors the characteristics of provincial manor portraits in late-18th century Lithuania.
